Billy Paul Williams was born in Stolkes Hall Jamaica,
in a Home filled with music, his father Vincent was a musician/ Minister, nick named "Johnny Guitar"
known for playing a mean guitar. At the age of six, his father Vincent hoping to make a better life for his Family of eight left Jamaica. After living in several countries the family moved to Miami where Billy received a scholarship to the University of Miami, majoring in Studio Music and jazz under Don Coffman. After University Billy Ventured out again to Europe where he formed a band in West Berlin Germany called ÒTHE WALKÓ, touring Europe and opening for such names as DURAN DURAN, TERENCE TRENT DÕARBY, Mory kante, Tangerine Dreams and others. Four years later The walk disbaned, Billy then moved to Lausanne Switzerland , performing as a solo artist and producing for other Artists. Two years later he joined friends from Miami on a Tour of Asia, (Japan, Tiawan, Hong Kong) touring for a year as a singer and bass player. Shortly after returning to Miami he audition for Latin performer CHAYENNE, Playing bass and singer, on a tour of South America and Spain. It wasn't too long after that he found himself touring with SHAKIRA on her first engagements in the US. Also working with Others like Martha Sanchez and Robbie Rivera who co-wrote the European dance hit "SEX". Billy is now based in Miami Beach as a Producer and Song Writer. Writing and producing for various record labels and Artists of many styles and genre. From Dance, Chill, Hip hop, Pop, Rock, Film scores, to writing for The Largest Cuban Show being performed in Las Vegas "THE HAVANA NIGHT SHOW", Giving birth to his CD "HAVANA NIGHT CHILL", or to Landing his musical score on the CBS Television hit show "GHOST WHISPERS". |
